Garden Maintenance Labourer

MTC Recruitment is partnering with a highly regarded local council based in Maroubra to find an experienced Garden Maintenance/Labourer to join their dedicated team.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with a 9-day fortnight (enjoy alternate Mondays off!)

Pay Rate: Competitive pay of $33.46 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate push and ride-on mowers to maintain sports fields and public areas
• Plant, prune, and uplift shrubs and trees to keep green spaces thriving
• Apply mulch and maintain weed control to ensure beautiful landscapes
• Manage irrigation systems and conduct regular checks
• Perform litter picking to keep areas clean and tidy
• Utilize various garden tools, including brush cutters, push mowers, blowers, etc.
• A chainsaw and chemical spraying permit is a plus!

About You:

• You bring previous garden maintenance or landscaping experience
• You're physically fit and enjoy working outdoors, rain or shine
• You have a full driver’s license; an MR License is highly desirable
• You thrive both independently and as part of a team
• You’re reliable, proactive, and have a strong work ethic
• White card and COVID-19 vaccination required
• Traffic Control Ticket is highly desirable
• Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident with full working rights
• Ready to start immediately
