The Role
Within their Sydney facility located in the Penrith area, they are currently seeking experienced Machine Operators to join their team on an ongoing casual basis working Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 4pm. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager and working closely with the Production Coordinator, you will be trained to operate machinery, maintain quality and play an important role with the manufacture of slings used in heavy material lifting environments.
This role offers a very clean, safe and organised work environment within a fully air-conditioned and modern facility within a diverse team environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Operate and set up machines to produce slings according to specifications and customer orders.
- Follow instructions from the Production Coordinator and Manufacturing Manager to ensure tasks are performed safely, effectively, and efficiently.
- Maintain responsibility for the quality of your work, promptly raising any concerns.
- Liaise with the Production Coordinator or Manufacturing Manager on product specifications and performance inquiries.
- Adhere to Quality, WHS, and Environmental Policies, as well as following all relevant procedures and work instructions.
- Identify and communicate any discrepancies during assembly or sewing processes, seeking clarification as needed.
- Keep your workstation clean and organised to promote a safe and efficient working environment.
Required Skills:
- Prior experience in operating manufacturing machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- The ability to follow procedures and work instructions precisely
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members and supervisors effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining a safe workplace.
- Knowledge of WHS, quality, and environmental compliance in a manufacturing setting (advantageous).
