Machine Operator (Quilting)

Our client, a leading mattress manufacturer based in Padstow, is seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator to join their team in the quilting department. In this role, you will be responsible for stitching on mattresses, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.

Location: Padstow, NSW

Pay Rate: $32.23 per hour

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM with overtime during high volume periods

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate quilting machines to stitch mattress covers with precision and quality.
• Ensure all machines are functioning properly and maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the work area.
• Monitor production processes and adjust machine settings as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and quality control procedures.

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a machine operator role, preferably in a manufacturing environment (desirable but not essential).
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Flexibility to work overtime during peak periods.
• Full unlimited Australian working rights.
