Our client is a is a global leader in the manufacture of high-performance insulation and building solutions who manufacture a wide range of products from their Western Sydney based facility using state of the art equipment and processes.
The role
Currently, an opportunity exists for an experienced Plant Maintenance Electrician to join their dynamic team to maintain, troubleshoot and repair their specialist manufacturing equipment. This role will see you working in a permanent dayshift position between the hours of 6am to 2.30 pm (Mon to Thur) and 6am to 12 pm (Friday). Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be working within a team of experienced Electricians and Mechanical Filters within a highly automated production environment. Overtime (including occasional weeken work) will be available as required.
Essential Requirements:
· Current NSW Electrical Contractor Licence
· Own transport (As site not accessible by public transport)
· Eligible to work in Australia (no Visa restrictions)
Key Responsibilities:
· Troubleshoot, maintain and repair a variety of plant equipment
· Ensure the reliability and effectiveness of machinery and associated
· Use of ‘Pirana’ CMMS for preventative maintenance
· Operate and program PLC’s (Training provided)
· Act as an on-site maintenance expert
· Ensure product quality
· Monitor and improve equipment performance
· Conduct installation and modification of equipment
· Perform other duties as required
· Travel to other sites as needed
About You:
· 5+ years experience in electrical/electro-mechanical roles
· 3+ years in people and project management
· Certificate III in Industrial Electronics and PLCs (Highly regarded)
· Skilled in faulting and calibration of industrial instrumentation
· Experience with Siemens Simatic, TIA Portal, and PLCs
· Knowledge of Siemens VFDs, SEW Drive Technology, and industrial networks
· Strong mechanical aptitude
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· Ability to read technical drawings
· Self-motivated, reliable, and punctual
· Good communication and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work overtime and flexibility with hours.
· Ability to learn quickly and follow established procedures
· Willingness to undergo Pre-employment medical / Drug and alcohol screening
