Currently, we are seeking expressions of interest from Maintenance Fitters for opportunities in the New Year across the greater Sydney metro area.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical systems, plant & equipment
• Troubleshooting and Diagnostics of Mechanical issues
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, wiring, and controls
• Ensure that machinery and equipment is returned to service efficiently.
• Working collaboratively with maintenance and production teams
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, including repairs, installations, and inspections.
• Following safety related policies and procedures and compliance with company policies
• Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic components.
• Dismantle, inspect, and replace defective parts, ensuring all machines are returned to service efficiently.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, conducting risk assessments where necessary.
• Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for improvements in reliability and efficiency.
• Following safety related policies and procedures and compliance with company policies

Criteria include:

• Relevant Trade Qualifications – Mechanical Fitter
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Maintenance Fitter in a manufacturing environment such as FMCG, Manufacturing or Rail
• Solid technical skills in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems.
• Experienced with preventive maintenance
• Current Restricted Electrical License - Disconnect / Reconnect (An advantage)
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
• Able to identify opportunities for process improvement
