Projects Draftsperson – Fixed Term Contract

Location: Caringbah, NSW

Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 + Super (commensurate with experience)

Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday – Friday

We are seeking a Projects Draftsperson to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role offers the potential for an extension, although it is not guaranteed. Working closely with the Projects Manager, you will play a pivotal role in designing, commissioning, and documenting new plant installations and factory automation improvements.

About the Role:

This position involves creating and updating mechanical and electrical schematics, contributing to design improvements, and developing comprehensive technical manuals for equipment operation and maintenance. You will ensure compliance with quality standards while driving innovation in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and update CAD drawings (2D & 3D) for plant mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Provide input into iterative design improvements for factory processes and equipment.
• Accurately update existing mechanical and electrical documentation for maintenance purposes.
• Draft technical manuals for commissioning, safe operation, and planned maintenance of industrial equipment.

What We’re Looking For:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
• Advanced skills in CAD drafting (2D & 3D AutoCAD).
• Experience with industrial electrical systems and plant automation in an engineering or manufacturing setting.
• Proven experience in technical writing, manual development, and document control.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
